4.5 Million Donation

During the holiday season, many give to help others. Eleanor and Evelyn Schiller, sisters from Alden, recently donated nearly 4.5 million dollars to non-profit entities in Hardin County.

"Their generosity is staggering. Nearly $4.5 million dollars was amassed by a pair of modest Alden sisters over a lifetime” states Tam Elerding, Program Director for the Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation.

A significant portion of the gift was contributed to an endowed fund established by Eleanor and Evelyn years ago through the Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation. The fund will be able to grow and distribute grants to community projects for years to come.

The Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation as invested over 2.7 million dollars in grants to organizations and communities throughout Hardin County, since its inception15 years ago.
