Andy Clemons Benefit

"There is way more than a few people that have come together for this young man" Jerry McCoy said. Jim Johnson, Jerry McCoy, and the Union Fire department are putting a benefit together for a local Union resident, Andy Clemons.

Late last year he had brain surgery to remove a brain tumor and doctors successfully removed 95% of the tumor. Andy is recovering quite well and slowing getting out and about again. The funds raised are to help Andy get caught up on bills and help him get back on his feet.

They are raffling off over 47 items like pork bundles, quilts, jewelry and many, many more things. "It really has been over whelming with the amount of people that have volunteered their time, money, and gifts donated." They have already raised more then $4,000 of their $5,000 goal.

You can buy tickets for the raffle though Ali Clemons (His daughter), Jerry, Jim, the Fire department and at the Gingersnap for $5 a ticket. The Benefit will be this Saturday, March 20th starting at 4pm and going till whenever. There will also be a free will donation dine in or carry out supper.
