Ditch Fire South of Eldora

A farmer south of Eldora was doing a routine burn his ditch when the wind shifted directions causing the fire to go out of control. It caught an electrical pole on fire. "He didn't expect it to reach the utility pole which was completely accidental. " The Eldora fire Chief said, "And it didn't burn though it." They arrived on scene quickly regaining control of the fire. The Eldora Police Department and EMS showed up on scene to help with traffic.

"The biggest thing is to watch the weather," The Eldora Fire Chief said, "Don't burn on a windy day, plan accordingly"
