NOTES: A benefit is getting set up for Andy at the rec center February 20th. He asked the city for a possible donation. Troy will have more information on the benefit coming next monday.

4. FEMA/Derecho Update 00:30:40
NOTES: Had a phone call with FEMA today. They want information from the contractors. The small details will make the difference. 1 contractor is getting close to being done. THe other not so much. Just working away at it. Will be getting funds for small project use (generator use). Should be coming in a few weeks.
5. Dump Truck 00:34:50
NOTES: Alen put together some options for the council to look at. Council discusses possible options. They may have to close the pool to help fund it (00:41:00). They can't do much now though. They probably won't get anything till spring/summer even if they decided to get something today. They chose to table it for the time being. They didn't want to rush into a decision.

NOTES: A new credit card came in the mail that the previous mayor setup while they were in office.

NOTES: A insurance company asked permission to offer water/sewer insurance to the residents of Union. It's the same company that provides insurance in Eldora.
Council agrees to allow the company to offer. The Clerk will email the company back.

9. Discussion on Betterment Committee and responsibility of holiday decorations. Purchase of a storage trailer. 01:05:00
NOTES: A council member got informed that the Union betterment committee has not been disbanded. Another council member talked with someone else and been informed that the town is in charge of the christmas lights and decorations.
The Council decided to get a storage trailer, 40ft X 8ft, double door. Looking to cost about 3,500-4,000 and a few hundred for gravel. Can't do much till spring though.

NOTES: Dennis has been a contract employee but wants to move to employee (To have taxes taken out of the paycheck) Council discussed that you can't just change someone into employment. There are other things to consider, liability, insurance, etc.
Council decided that they will advertise the position to allow others to apply. They will get a job description of what Dennis does.
