Every year the Whitten Fire Department hosts a soup supper to raise funds for the department. This year was no different. They served chicken noodles, chili, potatoes, and clam soups. What was different this year they also had a raffle for a shotgun and scope.
"So far it's been excellent," Assistant Chief, Justin said, "A lot bigger than it was last year."
The funds raised will be split between upgrading the overhead door for their new ladder truck and getting new gear for the fireman.
